The URS program is a time-limited (up to 12 weeks), rapid response service that addresses a specific need to prevent further escalation of a child or youth harming themselves, others or property. The service is available to any child or youth registered in the OAP who meets defined ministry criteria which is determined through a screening process that looks at high risk factors.

Provides coordination of services for children and youth with multiple and/or complex needs and their families. Gives access to supportive, proactive, responsive, and family-centered service.

Assists families who require supports and services by providing information and help to access service options.

Promotes active living and provides temporary relief from the physical and emotional demands of caring for a child with a disability.

Helps children and youth with FASD or suspected FASD and their families to connect to services and supports. Provides education and training and facilitates the development of a family centered service plan.

CCN receives referrals from the Children’s Aid Society and connects families with ADR practitioners including Child Protection Mediators and Family Group Decision Making Coordinators.
