Support Provider Database
The Support Provider Database facilitates the connection between families of children and youth with disabilities and Direct Support Providers in the Sudbury & Manitoulin region.
A Direct Support Provider is an independent respite provider who has been screened and made available to families through the Support Provider Database. Respite providers may come from a variety of backgrounds, from homemakers and students, to persons with training in nursing, education, childcare, recreation, or rehabilitation. The screening process includes, but is not limited to, a screening interview, a Vulnerable Sector Check, the verification of references, and an orientation session.
Direct Support Providers are contracted by the families that they support and are not employees of the Children’s Community Network.
